Emailing Candidates
Updated over a week ago

Communicating effectively with candidates throughout the scheduling process is crucial for maintaining a positive candidate experience. candidate.fyi provides a streamlined way to email candidates directly within the scheduling flow. This guide explains how to use this feature, allowing you to send personalized emails quickly and efficiently.

Step-by-Step Guide to Emailing Candidates

Step 1: Navigate to a Scheduling Request

  1. Log in to your candidate.fyi account.

  2. Find and navigate to the specific scheduling request you are working with

Step 2: Initiate the Email Process

  • In the top right corner of the scheduling request page, click the "Send Mail" button. This action will open a modal window where you can compose your email.

Step 3: Compose Your Email

The email modal presents several fields to fill out, ensuring your message is complete and customized:

  • Email Template: Optionally, you can select an email template to use for your communication. Choosing a template will automatically populate the other fields (Subject, CC, BCC, Body) with the template's content, which you can then edit as needed.

  • Subject: Enter the subject line for your email. This should be clear and concise, giving the candidate an immediate understanding of the email's purpose.

  • CC: If there are any users within your organization or externally who need to be in the loop, add their email addresses in the CC field.

  • BCC: For including users discreetly, use the BCC field. They will receive the email without other recipients knowing.

  • BCC Me: Check this option if you want to receive a blind carbon copy of the email for your records.

  • Body: This is where you craft the main message to the candidate. Utilize this space to convey all necessary details, personalize the message, and maintain the tone aligned with your organization's communication style.

Step 4: Preview and Send

  • Preview: Before sending, you have the option to preview the email. This feature allows you to see the email as the candidate will, helping you catch any errors or make final adjustments.

  • Send: Once you are satisfied with your email, click the send button to dispatch the email to the candidate.
