Updated over a week ago

This document outlines the various user roles within candidate.fyi, detailing the permissions and access levels for each role. Understanding these roles is essential for managing your team’s access and ensuring that each member can effectively perform their tasks within the platform.

Admin

The Admin role in candidate.fyi is designed for users who require full access to the platform's capabilities. Admins have the highest level of permissions and are entrusted with comprehensive control over the system. Key permissions include:

  • Full Access: Admins can view, edit, and manage all aspects of candidate.fyi without restriction.

  • Global Settings Access: Exclusive to Admins, this permission allows for the modification of global settings. These settings include updating the organization's subdomain, changing branding colors, managing integrations with other software (such as ATS and video conferencing tools), and more.

  • Team Member Management: Admins are responsible for adding new users to the platform and editing existing user roles. This allows Admins to tailor access according to the team's needs, ensuring that each member has the appropriate level of permissions.

Editors

The Editor role is suited for users who need to make changes and updates within candidate.fyi but do not require access to global settings or user management. Editors can:

  • Edit Platform Content: Editors have the authority to edit all content within candidate.fyi. This includes creating and updating candidate portals, job listings, and any other editable content across the platform.

  • No Access to Global Settings or Users: Unlike Admins, Editors cannot modify global settings or manage team members. Their permissions are focused on content creation and management, ensuring that the platform remains up-to-date and accurate.

Viewers

The Viewer role is intended for users who need to access information within candidate.fyi but do not need editing capabilities. Viewers can:

  • View All Data: Viewers are able to see all the data within candidate.fyi, including candidate information, job listings, and portal content. This role is ideal for team members who need to stay informed about recruitment activities without directly managing them.

  • No Editing Permissions: Viewers cannot edit any content within the platform. Their role is strictly limited to viewing data, ensuring that they can access necessary information while maintaining the integrity of the platform’s content.

Non Approved Member

A "Non-Approved Member" in candidate.fyi is granted limited access specifically to update their own profile. They can log in to the platform and modify personal information, such as contact details and professional summaries, but their access is restricted solely to this functionality. They cannot view, edit, or interact with any other areas or data within candidate.fyi.
