Updated over a week ago

This documentation provides an overview of how candidate.fyi syncs data with your Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure that your data is accurately synced.

Initial Sync

The process of integrating candidate.fyi with your ATS begins with an initial sync. This is a crucial step that lays the foundation for ongoing data synchronization. Here’s what you need to know about the initial sync:

  • Duration: The initial sync with your ATS is a comprehensive process that will take several hours to complete. This timeframe is necessary to ensure a thorough and accurate transfer of data from your ATS to candidate.fyi.

  • Scope of Data: During the initial sync, candidate.fyi will pull in data from the past 3 months. This period is selected to ensure that you have access to candidates who are still active in your recruitment process, allowing you to manage current and recent job openings effectively.

Periodic Syncs

Following the initial sync, candidate.fyi maintains data accuracy through periodic syncs with your ATS. These syncs are designed to update any changes in candidate status, job listings, and other relevant information. Key aspects of periodic syncs include:

  • Frequency: candidate.fyi will sync with your ATS approximately every 3-8 minutes. This frequent sync schedule ensures that changes in your ATS are quickly reflected in candidate.fyi, keeping both systems in harmony.

  • Real-Time Syncs: In certain scenarios, syncing can occur instantly and in real-time. This is particularly relevant for scheduling activities, where immediate data exchange between candidate.fyi and your ATS is crucial for avoiding scheduling conflicts and ensuring that interviews are coordinated efficiently.
