Introduction

This document provides instructions on connecting your Google account to our platform. This integration is essential for utilizing our scheduling features, which rely on Google Calendar for interview scheduling.

Each user who will be using candidate.fyi for scheduling will have to connect their calendar. This is typically each coordinator.

Accessing Google Integration

To enable Google Integration:

  1. Navigate to the your profile in the bottom left

  2. Click on 'Integrations'.

  3. Select the 'Google' tab on the side menu within the Integrations settings.

Steps for Google Integration

  1. Authentication Requirement: A message on the page states, "Before you can start using our scheduling features, you need to connect your Google account."

  2. Connect to Google Calendar: Click the 'Connect to Google Calendar' button to initiate the integration process.

Connecting Your Google Account

  • Clicking the 'Connect to Google Calendar' button will redirect you to a Google sign-in page.

  • Sign in with your Google account credentials.

  • You will be prompted to allow permissions for the platform to access your Google Calendar. This access is necessary for scheduling and managing interviews.

  • After granting permissions, you will be redirected back to the platform, where the integration status should reflect that your Google account is now connected.

Troubleshooting

  • If you encounter issues while connecting your Google account, ensure that you are logged into the correct Google account and that you have a stable internet connection.

  • If problems persist, check to see if there are any restrictions in your Google account settings that might prevent third-party access.
